DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A former Grapevine nursing tech has been given two life sentences for raping an elderly patient at a nursing home.
Anthony "Tony" Nyakeo was convicted of the aggravated sexual assault of an elderly person.
The victim was a 74-year old alzheimer's patient who was unable to speak.
"You never see a defendant like this coming," said lead prosecutor Jordan Rolfe. "It goes against human decency and human nature, and everything we stand for here in Tarrant County."
The victim has since died.
