DALLAS (KRLD) - Red Oak High School has canceled its pre-Homecoming pep rally due to concerns about violence.
As reported by NBC 5, the school notified parents yesterday, say the pep rally will not be held "... for the safety of all students."
Parents say this comes after several recent fights during the school day and which have been shared via social media.
On the high school's Facebook page, the district referred to them as altercations saying additional personnel will be at "... the high school monitoring students as well as following up with disciplinary actions."
