HOUSTON (KRLD) - A Houston police officer is in the hospital after being shot three times.
Police received a call about four suspects who were involved in a violent crime spree. At one point, they approached a priest, and has he got down on his knees to pray, one of the men pulled the trigger twice on a gun but it didn't discharge.
The four suspects ended up beating and robbing the priest before carjacking a woman's truck. An officer was able to track down the vehicle and was shot by one of the suspects. Another responding officer shot the driver who died.
Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo has a message for one of the suspects who ran off. Acevedo says, "We're going to get you. So, you might as well come out now and turn yourself in. It will be much better for everyone and much safer."
Police arrested the two other suspects.
