Pandemic or not, record-low interest rates and shrinking availability keep driving home prices higher.
In the latest report released Tuesday, CoreLogic said home prices were up 3.6% in the Dallas-Plano-Irving Metro Division in July, compared to a year ago, while prices rose by almost 4.9% in Fort Worth-Arlington.
The national numbers were even stronger, as prices jumped by 5.5% year-over-year in July.
CoreLogic Economist Molly Boesel told KRLD it remains an extraordinary seller's market, especially with first-time buyers looking at homes on the lower end of the price scale. She discussed the latest report with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
