A man is in police custody after his friend died at a Dallas hospital last night.
While the badly bleeding victim was found near Walnut and Audelia in northeast Dallas, police believe he was shot in Pleasant Grove, about 15 miles away.
Piecing the story together, detectives believe the arrested man was shooting his pistol at a home near Saint Augustine and Elam Road.
One round hit his friend in the leg. Rather than call for help, the two men climbed into a car and drove to the northeast Dallas location where the accused shooter finally called 911.
Paramedics arrived and rushed the victim to the hospital but it was too late to save his life.
