DALLAS (KRLD) - Many of the neighborhoods off Royal Lane in North Dallas are still dealing with massive damage and clean-up following last month's tornado.
This woman has blue tarps on her roof and plywood covering her windows and tells KRLD the damage was shocking on her block.
"We're one of the lucky ones. There are only four homeowners still on this block. We had an inspector come through and tell us we had a lot of structural damage in our attic," she says.
This family won't be able to get anything fixed for at least 6 months due to insurance and contractor availably. But they say the city has been helpful.
"The utility people and the city have been on top of things. We get a newsletter with all the latest information. I have been really impressed."
Some estimates have the city of Dallas suffering damage in the billions of dollars.
