Rowlett High School product and Longhorns alum Marquise Goodwin is taking the NFL's voluntary opt-out because of Coronavirus fears.
After playing seven seasons in Buffalo and San Francisco, Goodwin was traded to the Eagles in the off-season. But before playing even an exhibition game, Goodwin has announced he won't play this year for family reasons.
He and his wife had a baby in February.
In a YouTube statements, Goodwin says he is "inclined to make the right decision by finally choosing my family first."
