MCKINNEY (1080 KRLD) - An elderly resident of a McKinney nursing home died from the Coronavirus yesterday, part of a cluster of deaths disturbing local and state investigators.
Yesterday, an 86-year-old resident died at Oxford Grand Assisted Living and Memory Care. Reported exclusively by NBC 5, she is the seventh Oxford Grand resident who has died from Coronavirus, believed to be one of the largest clusters of virus-related deaths in an assisted living facility statewide.
The ages of the seven range from 80 to 93.
Up through yesterday, four Oxford Grand employees have also tested positive.
Texas Health and Human Services says it's investigating Oxford for what it calls "infection control practices."
