FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - There's a mis-trial in the Tarrant County trial of a former Fort Worth bar owner accused of raping an unconscious customer.
Israel Espiricueta faced one count of sexual assault. Yesterday, the judge declared the mis-trial when the jurors decided they were dead-locked with no realistic hope of reaching a verdict.
Prosecutors argued that bar security video clearly showed the rape but some of the jurors apparently had their doubts.
The Tarrant County District Attorney's office has not decided whether to try Espiricueta again.
