As concerns over the coronavirus continue to deepen, mortgage rates just fell to their lowest levels on record.
Freddie Mac said Thursday the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage tumbled to 3.29%, marking the lowest figure since record-keeping began in 1971.
The average 15-year fixed-rate now stands at 2.79%.
Bloomberg U.S. Housing Reporter Prashant Gopal said there is a degree of risk associated with the historically-low rates.
Prashant Gopal spoke with KRLD's Chris Sommer about the drop.
