DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A high school basketball game in Dallas last night was pretty special for  the students because of who was sitting courtside.

NBA Hall-of-Famer Shaquille O'Neal showed up to watch South Oak Cliff High School play Sunset last night.

Shaq was in town to give a little help to a South Oak Cliff player by the the name of Kylon Owens.

O'Neal is a brand ambassador for J.C. Penney's big-and-tall line. He flew in to help Kylon pick out a suit for prom.

While at the store, Shaq said he'd show up for last night's game and he made good on the promise.

All in all, Kylon says it was pretty special to meet one of his heroes.

#ad Check out Dallas baller, Kylon Owens. I got to be his personal big & tall stylist at @JCPenney for the day. Kylon’s graduating with a high school diploma and associate’s degree at the same time, AND has played varsity ball since freshman year. #AllAtJCP pic.twitter.com/r5btC8BucO
