It's been nearly two years since a judge ordered something be done about a massive pile of used shingles along South Central Expressway in southeast Dallas. But so far, no response.
The pile of shingles is so big it has it's own name. Shingle Mountain. And it lies along the highway near Simpson Stuart.
There are some homes nearby and those homeowners are running out patience. They're waiting for the city to do something about that judge's order.
The city has ordered Blue Star Recycling to move the shingles and the owner says he'll do just that if the city waives millions of dollars in tipping fees to dump the shingles, 70 thousand tons of them, at the McCommas Bluff landfill across the highway.
But the city says that is unlikely to happen. So, the impasse continues.
