Millions of small businesses in the U.S. have been able to weather the financial havoc caused by COVID-19, but many say they will need additional help to survive long-term.
According to the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), 71% of small business owners who received a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) have exhausted those funds. And, 46% say they anticipate the need for more financial support in the next six months.
As the nation waits on Congress to produce a new coronavirus relief package, small businesses are watching anxiously.
The NFIB's Kevin Kuhlman discussed the situation with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
