DALLAS (1080 KRLD)  --  There will be no charges against hundreds of people detained in Dallas for occupying the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge this week.

Announced yesterday by Police Chief Renee Hall, the decision affects 600 people who were rounded up Monday night after they had occupied the bridge connecting Trinity Groves with downtown Dallas.

Those detained were cuffed and bused to the Frank Crowley Courts Building about a mile away. There they were cited and sent home.

Now, though, Hall says there will be no charges and says she made the decision after consulting with other city leaders including City Manager T-C Broadnax
