State Fair of TexasFair Park - Dallas

It's that time of the year, again...the great State Fair of Texas is in town and "Celebrating Texas Creativity" is the theme this year. The fair kicks off on Friday and, in addition to new exhibits and shows, there are also one-of-a-kind fair foods, special activities during the fair's 24-day schedule. Daily activities include the Starlight Parade at 7 p.m. and the Illumination Sensation lights and fireworks show at 8 p.m.

Screams Halloween Theme ParkWaxahachieWill open its doors for its 24-th season this Friday . It has five haunted houses each with a different theme along with a haunted graveyard. But when you want to take a break from being scared, there will be a DJ spinning music and plenty to munch on with a food court and full-service restaurant, as well.

Tesla in ConcertThe House of BluesTesla will be in concert in Dallas on Friday night. The band will take the stage at the House of Blues on North Lamar Street. The show starts at 7 P-M.

The Oak Ridge BoysArlingtonOr kick it back 'old school' with the Oakridge Boys in Arlington. They'll be performing at the Arlington Music Hall on Friday night with many of the fan's favorite songs including Elvira, Fancy Free and Bobby Sue...just to name a few.

Phantom of the OperaBass Performance HallGet a taste of Broadway right here at home as Phantom of the Opera is performed this weekend at Bass Performance Hall in Downtown Fort Worth.
