The investigation continues after one person was run over and killed by and off-duty Dallas police officer last night.
The officer was on his way home about 10 p.m. in his personal car, heading west on the 635-LBJ service road near the High Five.
Suddenly somebody steps off the curb and right in front of the officer's car.
He tells investigators he had no chance to stop or swerve to miss this person who was struck and died at the scene.
Dallas PD traffic investigators were out there for much of the night but it will be awhile before their reports are complete.
