MESQUITE (1080 KRLD) - At least one person is in the hospital after a fiery, small-plane crash in Mesquite yesterday.
The plane went down near Mesquite Metro Airport about 3:30 p.m. and the impact sheared off the wings before the plane skidded to a halt in a field near Lawson and Scyene.
One person with serious injuries was flown to Baylor hospital in Dallas. There have been no updates on that patient's condition.
The FAA will investigate but it's far too soon to have even a guess on the cause of the crash.
