Overturned 18-Wheelers Close I-30 Over Lake Ray Hubbard

Several people have been seriously hurt this this morning's multi-vehicle crash in Rowlett on I-30 over Lake Ray Hubbard.

The crash involved three cars and two 18-wheelers.

It happend around 3:00 a.m. Monday and the first thing emergency reponders attended to was to make sure no one was thrown from the wreckage and into the lake.

Rowlett police detective Cruz Hernandez says one of the big-rigs veered across the divider into oncoming traffic where it collided with two cars.

Although no fatalities have been reported, several people were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The highway is expected to be shut down for several more hours.
