DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Two people in Parker County are behind bars on drug and child abuse charges. The Parker County Sheriff is calling the case one of the worst he's seen in the past ten years.
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services removed four kids from the home of 20-year-old Colton Wayne Lackey and 34-year-old Amanda Nicole Fuller because of neglect, poor living conditions and suspected drug use by the adults. While in foster care, one of the kids made an allegation of sexual abuse and child pornography against Lackey.
Amanda Nicole Fuller is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Colton Wayne Lackey is charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact. Both are expected to face additional charges.
"These children will no longer have to live under the abusive, neglectful and awful conditions any longer. They are now receiving professional counseling and services thanks to the Parker County Children's Advocacy Center," said Sheriff Fowler. "They are now on the road to recovery. The animals are now at the Parker County Animal Shelter receiving the care they deserve."
