DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- After months of virtual darkness, one of the brightest learning experiences in North Texas reopens to the public on Saturday.
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science reopens its doors on Saturday (Sept. 12) and Sunday (Sept. 13) with new public-health protocols, ticketing procedures, reduced hours and occupancy at no more than 25%.
The Perot had a members-only "soft opening" last weekend, and it was well-received.
"We had a wonderful weekend, so we're looking forward to it, and we're totally prepared to welcome the general public back this Saturday," said Dr. Linda Silver, Eugene McDermott Chief Executive Officer.
Of course, social distancing guidelines are in effect, face coverings are required, and hand sanitizer stations are displayed throughout the five floor museum.
"We have been working tirelessly to reopen, and our staff members are excited to get back to our educational mission of inspiring minds through nature and science," said Dr. Silver.
