DALLAS (KRLD) - Dallas police are looking for the person who caused a deadly crash on I-35 in Dallas on Thursday, killing a 75-year-old woman.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Sonia Toledo. She was killed when an 18-wheeler overturned and crushed her car.

The accident happened Thursday morning on northbound I-35 over the Trinity River near downtown.

Dallas Sheriff deputies questioned the big rig driver who told them he was in the right lane and was cut off by another driver.  He says he braked to avoid hitting that car, swerved, lost control of his rig and crashed.

The driver fled the scene without stopping.
