CEDAR HILL (1080 KRLD) - Police are asking for help finding a man who shoved a store clerk to the floor after she asked him to put on a face mask.

Police say the incident happened June 6th at a My Eyelab store in Cedar Hill. The company's policy is that everyone inside wear face masks, including employees and customers.

Cedar Hill Police Sergeant Chad Cooley says the incident is shocking.

"The violence that he displayed in response to something as minor as being asked to put a mask is what's concerning," Cooley says.

Aside from bumps and bruises, the employee is okay. The man left in a red car. If ID'd, police say he could be charged with assault.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
