Shouting "Shut It Down" Fort Worth protesters occupied a restaurant and bar in the cultural district just a couple of blocks from the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
About 8:30 p.m. Monday a crowd of demonstrators marched into The Social House on West 7th Street, occupying tables as they chanted.
Speaking to the Star-Telegram, Manager Stephon Davis says he talked to some of the protesters and said while they had a right to be there, the customers also had a right to eat in peace.
Davis, who is Black, also said the restaurant's owner has donated to the 'Black Lives Matter' cause and even closed the business for one day last week so staff could attend protests.
He said he wished the protesters had checked "to see if the business you're going to protest in even supports you, because we do."
