In response to a long-running dispute between the North Texas Municipal Water District and several local cities, the Public Utility Commission has agreed to conduct a review of water rates charged by the District.
Plano Mayor Harry LaRossiliere tells KRLD that customers in Plano, Garland, Mesquite and Richardson have been forced to pay nearly $275 million for unused water.
