ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - There are no games going on at the new Rangers ball park these days so the team and the of Arlington are using one of the parking lots to hand out free Coronavirus masks.
Generally, the only masks you'd see at a Rangers game are worn by the catchers and umpires. But there's none of that right now so the order of the day is a protective mask.
And with businesses and restaurants gradually re-opening now, their employees really need face coverings. So, the team along with the city, the Chamber of Commerce, the Convention and Visitors Bureau and Downtown Arlington are chipping in to provide a quarter million masks today beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Distribution of the masks will be conducted drive-through style in Rangers Parking Lot "R" on Cowboys Way right across the street from the new Globe Life Field.
It's all first come, first served.
