East Texas Republican congressman Louie Gohmert was supposed to fly with the President to Midland today, but didn't end up making the trip after he leared he had tested positive for the coronavirus.
He has often been seen around capital hill without a mask.
Rep. Gohmert says he had been wearing a mask more in the last week than the last four months, and says he may have been exposed by touching his mask.
He said in a social media post that he feel fine.
Gohmert has also urged the FDA to approve the anti malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19.
