RICHARDSON (1080 KRLD) - There is now a coronavirus testing site just for kids
It's being offered by Children's Health PM Urgent Care in Richardson.
"It is important to know which children do have this virus and which don't," says Dr. Christina Johns, the senior medical advisor for PM Pediatrics. "Many children have a much milder form of the illness and some children may be asymptomatic completely."
Regardless, those infections must be taken just as seriously.
"Children are able to transmit the virus just as easily as any other age person," says Dr. Johns.
The testing is only available at the PM Pediatrics' urgent care facility in Richardson, but kids who are screened at other locations can be referred for testing there.
