DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A man is recovering after being shot at an Oak Cliff food market overnight.
Police believe the man was shot while he and two friends were trying to rob the Rio Grande Latin Market on West Jefferson near Hampton Road.
Just before 11:00 p.m. the three robbers, one of them allegedly armed, entered the store. However, they were confronted by an employee with his own pistol. He opened fire and the robbers ran for it.
One of them turned up at the hospital, apparently unable to explain how he'd been shot. Suspicious, the hospital called police who detained the man for questioning.
