DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A big section of the Preston Oaks shopping center will have to be demolished following October's EF-3 tornado.
The southeast corner of Preston Road and Royal Lane sustained substantial damage due to the tornado and after structural engineers came in, it was determined that many of the buildings were a total loss.
The property is owned and Regency Center and spokesman Eric Davidson says they hope to have the stores affected on the property completely demolished before the end of the year.
They will then submit a plan to rebuild to the city for approval.
No word yet on what businesses plan to come back.
