DALLAS (KRLD) - Greg McBride with Bankrate.com says their survey found only 41% of adults in the U.S. have enough money to cover a $1,000 dollar emergency room visit or car repair.
McBride says, "And nearly an equal amount would have to borrow the money in some form. Most likely putting that on a high-interest rate credit card."
His advice: set up a direct deposit of a certain amount from your paycheck to go into an emergency savings account.
