
DALLAS (KRLD) - People in Stillwater, Oklahoma are remembering a legend this afternoon.
That legend is oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens, who passed away on September 11 at the age of 91. A public memorial is being held at 3 p.m. today at Oklahoma State University, Pickens alma mater.
He graduated in 1951 when OSU was known as Oklahoma A&M. He was a megadonor to the university, donating more than $600 million to the school, transforming it's academic and athletic programs.
Pickens final resting place will be the Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, where his childhood home was relocated.
