TAPPS, the governing body for Texas private school sports, has announced an updated schedule for Fall sports.
Two weeks ago, TAPPS said its member high schools could begin workouts on September 8th. The new rules now state football workouts can begin a day sooner, on Labor Day Monday.
The state football championship in Waco has been moved a week later to begin December 10th which will permit a regular season of eight games, not six as previously announced.
Volleyball teams can begin practice eleven days sooner on September 10th, with the state finals to begin on November 18th.
