The Tarrant County Commissioner's Court votes to remove a historic confederate monument from the front of the county courthouse.

The court voted 4-0, with one abstention, to remove the monument. The court is comprised of three Republicans (incl. Judge Whitley) and two Democrats.

The confederate soldiers monument sits outside the Tarrant County Courthouse, where protests have been going on nightly.

One night, demonstrators covered it up with a message saying it only serves to keep racism alive.
