(Fort Worth, TX) -- Tarrant County Commissioners have approved nearly $800,000 in federal funding to supply child care for kids whose parents have to work while students are taking virtual classes.
Beginning tomorrow, Tarrant County will pay $170 a week -- per child. Four agencies have signed up to provide the child care -- The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County, Clayton Youth Enrichment and Girls Inc. of Tarrant County.
It should be noted that this help applies to Tarrant County's parents outside the city of Fort Worth. Tarrant County Judge Glenn Whitley says the city has its own pool of federal funds to take care of its people.
