FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Fort Worth middle school teacher is facing federal charges for allegedly sharing child pornography on a chat app popular with teenagers.
The Justice Department says Stephen Corkill, 35, used the Kik app to share an explicit image of a young girl.
Corkill is a seventh-grade teacher at Marine Creek Middle School in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.
If convicted, Corkill faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
The school district has placed Corkill on leave pending the results of its investigation.
