THE COLONY (KRLD) - Police in The Colony have arrested a teenager for the murder of his pregnant sister after her body was discovered in an alley Sunday morning.
Authorities say 19-year-old Eduardo Arevalo admitted to killing his sister, 23-year-old Viridiana Arevalo, on Dec. 16, and hid her body in an unknown location for several days before returning to recover the body so he could dump it in the 5200 block of Strickland Avenue.
Police received a call around 7:45 a.m. Sunday about an unconscious female lying in the alley. Detectives arrived on the scene and determined it was Viridiana. The woman was reported missing by her family on Dec 17.
After gathering video evidence from cameras located near the scene where the body was discovered, police were able to determine that Arevalo was involved.
According to police, Arevalo admitted to killing his sister over a family conflict.
He's currently in The Colony jail and could face additional charges.
