A 15-year-old boy remains in custody this morning after leading Grapevine police on a chase.
Grapevine Police say the boy was cornered in a cul-de-sac on Wednesday morning when a Grapevine Police officer was approaching the stolen pick-up truck from an early morning car-jacking.
Reports say the boy hit the gas and tried to run the officer down. As the truck sped off, the officer fired four times with two of the rounds hitting the truck. The driver was not hit and kept on going.
Eventually the teen crashed the truck in Southlake, bailed out of the vehicle and took off on foot.
Police were able to catch up with him thanks to help from a police helicopter and a K-9 unit.
The teen is facing a long list of charges. His name has not been released because of his age.
