Organizers of the Texas Book Festival say they want to keep readers and authors safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. So, the festival will be virtual from October 31rst through November 15th.

The annual free event is one of the largest literary events in the country.

Organizers say it generally attracts around 50,000 people from around the state.

Former first lady Laura Bush founded the event 25 years ago. It features more than 125 authors and it's for all ages.
