DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Cody Herndon of Bonham says it was love at first sight when he spotted teller Keisha Houser through the window of a bank a little over a year ago.
Herndon says the charges against Keisha are bogus. She's jailed since on a 160 thousand dollar bond. They planned on getting married on October fifth and did, in jail.
Herndon says Houser reached out to Sheriff Mark Johnson and he asked her if she'd like to get married in the jail.
He says "they allowed me to bring my best man and another one of my friends. He allowed me to bring a wedding dress and she got to wear her wedding dress. They said it's the first time that's ever happened in Fannin county."
He says they exchanged rings and she got to keep her ring. "I got to give her a kiss and that's it. They took her back and she got back in her jumpsuit. We went our different ways that day."
Herndon says the charges against Keisha are bogus. He says that's in her past. "It's sad that somebody's past just keeps coming back to haunt them. People change."
He visits every Wednesday and Saturday. "I haven't missed one. I talk to her every day and we write every day. I have a stack of letters. I love her. I absolutely love this girl."
