DALLAS (KRLD) - A Wichita Falls man is behind bars after he was charged with the murder of a 91-year-old woman.
42-year-old Byron Rickard is being held without bail on a capital murder charge. He's accused of killing 91-year-old Ruby Ditto of Wichita Falls.
Police showed up at her home Sunday after getting a call about a possible robbery. When they arrived they found her in the backyard where paramedics were treating her for a head injury. She was rushed to the hospital where she died Tuesday morning.
Ditto's truck was missing but police located it Sunday night, along with Rickard who was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Three days later he was charged with Ditto's murder.
