The Tarrant Area Food Bank is very happy with its food distribution yesterday - its biggest event yet.
The parking lot of the new Dickies Arena in Fort Worth was the staging area where members of the 136th Airlift Wing of the Texas Air National Guard directed traffic and helped load tons of food into the cars of people whose families might otherwise go hungry.
Guard members have been helping the food bank for two months and will remain on duty through at least the middle of July.
Across the state, units of the Texas National Guard have been helping food banks and mobile Coronavirus testing sites since the early days of the Coronavirus outbreak
