ODESSA (KRLD) - Odessa police say an officer and a gunman both had to go to the hospital after being shot in an exchange of gunfire outside a home.
Police received a call about shots being fired. When they arrived, a man in the driveway of a home fired at the officers.
Several officers shot back and the suspect was hit. He suffered serious injuries.
The officer who was shot was treated and released from a hospital.
The officers are on administrative leave while the Texas Rangers investigate the case.
