Texas Parks and Wildlife says they are seeing a bunch of the invasive tilapia in rivers and lakes in Texas.

Monica McGarrity is a biologist with Texas Parks and Wildlife. McGarrity says, "If you catch the fish, you should not return it to the water. Tilapia are a prohibited species in Texas. They can only be possessed with a permit. They need to be either beheaded or gutted upon possession. They're great eating though."

She says tilapia is plentiful in Brauning and Calaveras lakes in San Antonio.
