The future of Medicare and Social Security could be affected because of the coronavirus pandemic's impact on the economy.

According to the Associated Press, before the COVID-19 hit the U.S., Medicare was projected to become insolvent in six years.


Social Security was also projected to not be able to pay full benefits in 2035.

KRLD's Kristin Diaz spoke with Chad Smith with Heritage Financial Planning on whether or not those dates could change.
