DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - One building of a large northeast Dallas apartment complex looks like a total loss because of a two-alarm fire Wednesday night.
Dallas Fire & Rescue officials say the fire erupted just before 7:00 p.m. and firefighters found flames and smoke billowing from a second-floor unit at The Falls At High Point near I-635 and Greenville Avenue.
Of the 24 units in that building, 16 were occupied and all of those residents got out okay.
Dallas Fire-Rescue determined the fire started with unattended food cooking and they consider it an accident.
The roof on that building caved in but firefighters were battling the flames from the outside so no one was hurt.
