Waves Of Moderate Rain Move In Today, Cooler Temperatures

Cloudy with increasing rain chances through the day. Turning colder this afternoon.

Heaviest rain will stay West of I-35 this morning, but slowly edge to the east into DFW late this morning through the afternoon and evening.

I'm not concerned about Flash flooding in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but there could be some flood advisories overnight tonight into tomorrow due to the recent rain last week.

Rainfall totals in north Texas late today into tomorrow will be heaviest  west of I-35W, where 2" to 3" of rain could fall.

From today into Thursday evening, forecast rainfall totals show amounts upwards of 2 inches for the western counties. Along I-35, totals between 1-1/2 inches are possible. Totals decrease as you move further to the east. #ctxwx #dfwwx #txwx pic.twitter.com/3rqliyhPO9

Lighter totals are forecast east of a Waxahachie to Dallas, to McKinney line.

Rain will lighten up big time by tomorrow evening through the weekend but there'll still be  scattered aft/eve storm chances through the period.

7-Day Headlines:

  • Cold front knocking on our door.
  • Waves of moderate rain move in this afternoon.
  • Much cooler tonight through Friday.
  • Rain tapers off Friday.
  • Warming up this weekend.
