A woman is in a Fort Worth hospital after being run down by a stolen car being chased by a Tarrant County Sheriff's deputy who also believed the driver was intoxicated.
The woman was seriously injured last night but her condition is not reported to be life-threatening.
The car ran over the woman on South Riverside near Highway 287.
The deputy broke off the pursuit to stop and help the victim until paramedics arrived. But Fort Worth police quickly found the stolen car and arrested the driver and three others.
A fifth person apparently got away.
