DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A North Texas man who tried to sell his daughter as a sex slave has pleaded guilty.
According to court records, Steven Marks of Denton will serve a 4-year prison term for the crime.
Marks, his wife, his mother and his father were all arrested in Rockwall last year after the 14-year old girl escaped and called for help.
While the plea deal keeps Marks behind bars, his mother and father may soon be released under the plea deal.
Marissa Gonzales of Child Protective Services says they still have custody of the family's other six children.
Marks allegedly drove his 14-year old girl to the Chicago area and sold her for just over $15,000. But the buyer could only come up with half the money, so Marks took his daughter back, according to reports.
