FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A note slipped to a DPS clerk has lead to the arrest of a suspected human trafficker.
Last month, reports say the woman was applying for a temporary identification card at a Fort Worth DPS office when she slipped a note to the clerk that read, "I'm a victim of human trafficking."
NBC 5 reports the woman was ushered to a back room, and a trooper arrested the man she was with, 23-year-old Austin Marshall.
The woman told police she and Marshall had moved into an east Fort Worth apartment, and Marshall forced her to become a prostitute to earn money to pay the rent.
Marshall is currently being held in the Tarrant County Jail.
