DALLAS (KRLD) - A Dallas man, who was charged with molesting a child, now faces a charge of trying to have the victim killed.
49-year-old Daniel Contreras has been held in the Dallas County jail without bond since he was arrested in September.
Contreras was initially arrested for sexually assaulting a boy in 2016.
He got out of jail on bond and it was during that time police say a man claimed Contreras tried to pay him to have the boy killed or put in a coma. That man went to police, who then picked Contreras up.
The initial charge of sexual assault of a child has been put on hold while the court waited for the grand jury decision on the charge of capital murder for hire.
